Canadian Snowboarder Dies After Hitting Tree

by The Editors on January 30, 2007

Francis Beaulieu, 51, of Montreal, Quebec died after apparently veering off a groomed run and straight into a tree at Mont Orford on Saturday January 27, 2007. Francis was wearing a helmet.

The ski conditions were good. So he went off course. Was it an accident, a bad manoeuvre, a deliberate stunt or did something go wrong?” speculated Yves Denis, a captain with regional police. . . The coroner’s office will perform an autopsy to determine the exact cause of death.
