Newsflash: Burton Employees Go Snowboarding

by The Editors on February 15, 2007

We never thought we’d see the day when snowboard company employees going snowboarding was worth a press release? But that’s exactly what happened on Wednesday, February 14 when Burton Snowboards sent out a email letting the world media know that thanks to a recent record breaking Vermont storm Jake Burton was letting Burton employees go snowboarding today (on a work day).

“Nothing makes me happier than giving the people who work here the opportunity to experience the essence of a sport that they are making accessible and fun for so many others,” says Jake Burton, Founder and Chairman of Burton Snowboards.

Okay, that’s one day down. . . ninety-nine to go.

There was only about 40 of them at Stowe today. Where were the rest?

40 sounds about right. The rest were home because they don’t really snowboard…
