042P1 LgDevin Schneider is a 13-year-old skateboarder from Westlake Village, California who loves skateboarding so much that he’s devoted his spare time collecting wheels, trucks, and boards from friends, family, and businesses so he can give them away to kids who can’t afford skateboards of their own.

Devin came up with the idea of refurbishing skateboards after a conversation with his rabbi about ideas for community service. An avid skateboarder, it seemed natural for Devin to provide skateboarding equipment for disadvantaged kids. He sent a letter to his family and friends appealing for support, and enlisted the help of Transition skate shop in Moorpark.

Boarding House Mentors made sure Devin’s boards got into the right hands. Nice work, Devin.

I sure as hell hope he ain’t giving away free blanks because the pros need all the money they can get their grubby hands on. How else are they gonna pay for their next trip to skate Europe, or their Audi S4, or their stupid cliche gold chains? Think about the pros dammit as your giving away things for free you jerk.

every time you buy a blank deck, Bam’s local Ferrari Dealership sheds a tear….

reminds me of that guy in back to the beach who would make surfboards, and give them away for free…. until Frankie Avalon smartened the kid up and gave him the gift of business.
