Ambiguous Announces Winner of the “Please Sponsor My Friends Band Contest”
Monday May 22nd was the final day of voting for the premiere Ambiguous music contest, where bands signed up and loyal fans e-mailed in massive amounts of votes trying to help their favorite band win a three-month sponsorship from Ambiguous clothing.
The race was close, but in the end EUDORA from Westminster, CA took home first prize.
Votes poured in for Hello Maybel from Baltimore, MD (2nd) and Curtis Murphy Syndicate from Los Angeles, CA (3rd) but the fans for EUDORA proved far too mighty - sending in hundreds upon hundreds of votes, taking time to add comments like:
“Eudora should win because they spend all their time on the band, they sacrifice more than the band, they focus on their fans more, and finally, BECAUSE THEY APPRECIATE EVERYTHING THAT HAPPENS TO THEM.”
“I think Eudora should win the endorsement, because they are all around nice guys. They care so much about their fans that they get nothing in return besides our support. And I think they deserve to win.”
“Eudora is one of the best bands out there. They should win this endorsement
because they care about their fans. They are one of the few bands who still
play for the music and not for the fame.”
Eudora is made up of Kevin Connor, Tim Markel, Robby Friend, David Tom and Mike Crisis. A group of friends who got together a year ago – finding each other through MySpace want ads, then spending months locked up in their Los Angeles studio perfecting their sound. Eudora’s commitment to communicate and constantly keep in touch with their fans has earned them the reputation as one of the most dedicated, hardworking bands today.
