THE SNOWBOARD JOURNAL WINS GOLD INK AWARD!
La Jolla, CA –The Snowboard Journal announced today that issue #002, showcasing David Carrier-Porcheron on the cover, a photo portfolio by Eric Berger, and an unrivaled interview with Shaun White, won the Gold Ink Award for 2004.
The prestigious Gold Ink awards, presented by Print Media and Printing Impressions, are chosen from more than 1,500 nationwide entries. Judged by top-notch professionals in the print industry, winners are selected based on quality in printing, quality of color separations, technical difficulty and overall visual effectiveness. “We’re completely honored. This is the first award The Snowboard Journal has won, but then again, it’s the first time we’ve ever been entered,” says Ford. “In all fairness, full credit goes to our Art Director Ted Newsome, Manufacturing Director Barry Berg, Foster, and of course, all the effort from the guys on the floor at our printer in Minnesota.” An award ceremony will be held in Chicago on October 11, 2004.
Available by subscription, at bookstores nationwide, and in your finer snowboard shops, The Snowboard Journal is excited to move forward: Foster comments, “Hearing about the award was great, but if they liked that issue, they’re going to freak out
