SURFRIDER FOUNDATION PARTNERS WITH SPIN MAGAZINE
Beaches to Benefit From SPIN’s UPick Program
San Clemente, CA (October 17, 2006) – The Surfrider Foundation announced today that it has partnered with SPIN Magazine to launch the UPick program. As part of the partnership, SPIN will make a donation of two dollars to the Surfrider Foundation for every subscription made by Surfrider supporters through the magazine’s UPick program
“I have always believed that by giving you get so much more in return,” says SPIN President Tom Hartle. “The UPick program will not only provide our readers with the opportunity to make a positive contribution to causes that they really care about like the Surfrider Foundation, but will also allow us at SPIN to bring attention to amazing charitable programs.”
The magazine will also be promoting the Surfrider Foundation’s efforts through editorial support and coverage of events like the organization’s annual Surfrider Foundation Celebrity Surf Jam.
“We are thrilled to be partnering with SPIN,” says Matt McClain, Director of Marketing for the Surfrider Foundation. “This is a great opportunity to help protect and preserve our world’s oceans, waves and beaches, while getting America’s top music magazine delivered to your doorstep each month.”
