Dew Action Sports Tour Selects Five Host Sites for Inaugural 2005 Season

NEW YORK - October 27, 2004 - The Dew Action Sports Tour, the first-ever season-long professional multi-sport tour in action sports, announced today that it has selected Louisville, Kentucky; Denver, Colorado; Portland, Oregon; San Jose, California; and Orlando, Florida as the five host sites for its inaugural season, beginning in June 2005.

The Dew Action Sports Tour schedule and title sponsors of each event are as follows (official names of each event will be announced at a later date):

June 8-12, 2005 Louisville - Kentucky Expo Center  Panasonic

July 6-10, 2005 Denver - Pepsi Center  Right Guard Xtreme

Aug. 17-21, 2005 Portland - Rose Quarter  Vans

Sept. 7-11, 2005 San Jose - HP Pavilion  Toyota

Oct. 12-16, 2005 Orlando - TD Waterhouse Arena  PlayStation(r)

The five host sites were selected from more than 20 prospective sites throughout the U.S. through a competitive bidding process.  All five sites share a commitment with the Dew Action Sports Tour to develop and offer fans a first-class, community-based event.

"We are thrilled to have selected sites that distinguished themselves from other bids by offering strong cooperation among community and government organizations, commitments of significant marketing support for the Tour, favorable geographic fit, and superior venues," said Wade Martin, General Manager of the Dew Action Sports Tour.  "We are proud to have the Dew Action Sports Tour associated with such prominent markets and look forward to building long-term relationships with fans, grassroots participants and organizations in each community."

The Dew Action Sports Tour has entered into multi-year agreements with representatives of all five sites.  Each event will be the focus of the Tour's ongoing, fully-integrated, multi-million dollar marketing campaign.  Host sites and their respective events will receive significant international exposure through dedicated event broadcasts on NBC and a cable partner, and through the Tour's various marketing platforms. The Tour estimates annual economic impact of $20-30 million and projects attendance of 100,000 in each city.

Owned by NBC Sports and Clear Channel Entertainment - Motor Sports, the Dew Action Sports Tour boasts the biggest competitive purse in action sports, a $1 Million Bonus Pool based upon year-end standings, and the largest network television and cable broadcasting commitment ever.  The Dew Action Sports Tour will consist of multi-sport and entertainment festivals covering over one million square feet in both indoor and outdoor venues.  In addition to the primary sports of skateboarding, BMX, and freestyle motocross, each tour stop will feature a unique "specialty comp", such as snowboarding or wakeboarding. At season's end, based on a cumulative points system, the Tour will award champions in skateboarding (street and vert), BMX (street, dirt & vert) and freestyle motocross with the Dew Cup.  Key lifestyle elements at each Tour event will include live cutting-edge music, video gaming, and interactive events.

NBC plans 19 hours of primarily live coverage for the 2005 Dew Action Sports Tour.  A cable broadcast partner and programming plans will be announced at a later date.

Clear Channel Entertainment - Motor Sports will be an integral partner on the Dew Action Sports Tour, lending its considerable expertise in live event touring and promotion, including a wide range of off-channel assets including Clear Channel's Radio, Outdoor and Music divisions.

The Dew Action Sports Tour's founding sponsors include Mountain Dew (tour title sponsor); and Panasonic, Right Guard Xtreme, Vans, Toyota, PlayStation(r) (event title sponsors).  Also joining the Tour as associate sponsors are Peanut Chews(r) and Pacific Cycle(tm) - the owner and supplier of Mongoose(r), Schwinn(r), and GT(r) bicycle brands.
