SURFERMAG.COM PARTNERS WITH SURFCHECK.COM

San Juan Capistrano, CA. - Surfermag.com today announced a partnership with Surfcheck.com that will provide its online viewers a network of 35+ live surf cameras as well as long-range surf forecasts. Surfermag.com is a direct extension of Surfer Magazine, the worldÍs oldest monthly surf magazine (celebrating its 41st year). The website has been online since 1995.

"This partnership strengthens our website by giving our viewers direct visual access to the hottest surf spots in California, Hawaii and elsewhere," said Scott Bass, editor of Surfermag.com. "By adding this dimension to our site we now are providing our community the deepest, most comprehensive surf coverage available online. We look forward to implementing the cams sometime in late March."

Surfermag.com is averaging more than 300,000 visitors per month and is part of EMAP USA's Action Sports Group digital portfolio (includes Snowboardermag.com, Skateboardermag.com, Powdermag.com, Bikemag.com and Gravitygames.com).

Since 1995 Surfcheck has been the industry leader for online surf reports, assembling the world's largest network of regional Surf Reporters and live cams. Surfcheck currently provides, swell, wind, & tidal data for 115 beaches with 48 live Cams, and 120 daily still photos up loaded from Indonesia, S. Africa, Hawaii, El Salvador, Mexico and the California Coast.

"Our alignment with Surfer magazine and Surfermag.com sends a message that on-line reports are for surfers by surfers," explained Albert DiPadova, founding partner of Surfcheck.com (along with Ted Deits). "And it represents a changing attitude about the technology that allows us to maximize our time in the water."
